Hand saw restoration

I have this old saw that belonged to my grandfather. No markings that I can find. He claimed it went with a miter machine, Stanley style. I have his old Stanly 4" miter machine, this saw cuts to 6" depth.

Anyway, the handle was trashed, so I will attempt to make a new one and clean up the saw.

More to come. Hopefully this won't be a total failure, but the screw hole alignment is a little off. On the other hand, I only have 3 of the 4 screws anyway, so maybe that will increase my chances of lining them up!
