John Biermacher
Built this bar height community table for the break area of an employment placement agency. The top is 28" by 96 " and made of reclaimed barn wood. It has a sub layer of plywood (for stability). then the barn wood, then trimmed out at the border with barnwood to give the appearance of three thicknesses. The finish is a some thin coats of epoxy resin to fill some of the gaps and imperfection but avoids the clear cast "bar top" look. Final coats were satin urethane. The base is 2" galvanized pipe that I "aged".
wtnhighlander
Looks great! I thought about doing a bench with pipe legs like that. Any reason you chose galvanized over black iron pipe?

John Biermacher
Thanks for the feedback. I used galvanized because I like the aged look. I spray it with muriatic acid then darken it with gun glueing.
