Jeremy Sohl
Hey everyone, first time here, had a question for the group. I'm building acoustic panels, sound absorption for Recording Studios, Home Theaters, music rooms, etc... I'm using Class-A Fire rated acoustic fabric... but some of the products I'm creating have an exposed wood frame. for instance i have some with a cedar, walnut, cherry, and so on. They're pretty much pieces of furniture. I'm going to be selling these to commercial retailers and commercial studios. My question is, How can I make my wood frames Class-A fire rated as well? does anyone have any experience with this? I don't want to put on any sort of fire coating thats going to ruin the finish of the piece. if you want to get an idea of what the pieces i'm building look like I have some pictures up on my Facebook page at www.facebook.com/sohlacoustics I'd love to get your opinions on fire-protecting those frames so I can be 100% Class-A rated. Thanks! Jeremy
Jeremy Sohl
thanks mike. Looks like this might be just what I need. I'm going to have to try to get ahold of them to get more information. I want to avoid build up or changing the finish and appearance of the frames. now I just have to figure out where to get this stuff.
