So if its not complete don't expect to be able to get parts. If the price is right that is no reason to turn away from one in good shape. Here are two contact numbers I was given to see about parts and cutters for my jointer. 877--724-8665 or 888-304-8840. I have not tried to contact them so I can't vouch for the numbers. zeboim Posted July 20, 2015 Author Report Share Posted July 20, 2015 From the pictures, it looks like it is in FANTASTIC shape, but it is missing the bevel wheel and the the handle on the lower/raise wheel is bent (which doesn't impede use). I'm currently using a heavily rusted craftsman saw from the 70s, so as long as it works, this is a huge upgrade from what I'm using. JerrySats Posted July 20, 2015 Report Share Posted July 20, 2015 I have a SC bandsaw and like the machine. The table saw is pretty nice and I did look at one years ago. Now that they are our of business I would think twice about buying anything made by them. I needed a part for my bandsaw about 2 years ago even back then it took over 3 months to get it. I ended up contacting the steel city folks in canada and was able to make a contact for parts. I ended up dishing out $600 for this thing, which was right in my budget. It's missing a crank wheel for the blade tilt, but the knob still works, so I figured I could make one of those from scraps and it is missing the blade guard, which I will end up getting from the canada peeps. The only real problem was that it required 220 and my garage was not wired to handle that, but, with the help of a neighbor (certified electrician), I am officially up and running as of this morning. So I've cut a few boards on this thing and holy crap, the difference between the 1hp motor I was using on the old craftsman and the 3hp on this cabinet saw is astounding. Just firing that thing up made the salivary glads kick it into high gear. now if the heat index would drop below that of the sun, I could spend some serious time in the shop.
