wtnhighlander
Nice looking board, Vin! I haven't tried Watco's product, does it soak in pretty fast?
wdwerker
Yes it soaks in pretty quick. It's an oil varnish blend of some sort. Drys fairly fast too.

shaneymack
I was up in Mississauga last year. I'd love to take a trip back up to Canada to explore some more, I had a great time. I'll let you know if I head that way. If you come up around Montreal let me know. I will take you to all the local festool dealers. wouldwurker
Nice looking board, Vin! I haven't tried Watco's product, does it soak in pretty fast? Expensive, but a nice finish. You can wipe on/wipe off like Danish oil, but it's high resin (short oil length).

Strasberry
I was there anyways working on the finish on my curly maple table.image.jpg Love this table! First time I've seen a kidney shaped table since the one i made in high school wood shop circa 1967. My mother still uses the table daily! Next time I get there i will try to take a pic of it. Made it out of mahogany with a oil and rottenstone finish. My Step Dad "refinished" a couple of times so the finish isn't what it used to be but still solid.
