TerryMcK
This is Richard talking about wooden planes and metal planes. He is a professional woodworker based in England. He does use a lot of colloquial terms so "Me Owed Man" is his father for instance. He is a great watch and is extremely knowledgeable about his (and our's) craft. Check out his website and blog. http://www.theenglishwoodworker.com/hand-plane-rant-video/
Mick S
Very interesting video, Terry. I've always loved the feel of woodwen planes and I don't think the setup is really that difficult. I don't own any of $cott Meek's wooden planes, but I have used them on a couple of occassions and they're a joy. Some day.
RichardA
Thank you Terry! I've got a couple of wooden body planes, and if it wasn't for Graham Hayden, I would have sold them. One is tuned beautifully, and the one transitional plane I have [Stanley #27] I'm having a tough time with in tuning. Thank you for this resource!! ncfowler
I have a good friend from college who is a wood worker, during college he collected wooden planes of all sorts, never knew why, but this does explain a lot, my buddy always said a wooden plain has a life of it's own,
