wnaziri
It seems that making an end grain cutting board is a right of passage in woodworking realm, I decided to do one. Actually, the only reason I did it was that I had a really nice piece of bloodwood that I could not figure out what do with. It is a very unforgiving wood but gorgeous color. In addition to bloodwood, I used hard maple and mahogany. For the finish, I used Watco Butcherblock finish (because Lowes carries it). I have done 5 coats so far and will probably do a few more just for the hell of it. I like a nice finish.
..Kev
Very cool! No need for more finish if it's to be used. Nicely done!
wdwerker
For a cutting board that is going to be used you only want the oil/finish in the wood not a film built on top of the wood.Looks nice!
wtnhighlander
Interesting pattern. Very clean construction, it looks great!
rodger.
Cool board! Save yourself a bit of money on your next cutting board and grab some mineral oil from the pharmacy instead of butcher block oil.

I just measured the board. I should note that it was "designed" to my wife's specs. The board is 12" x 18".

Janello
Sometimes these designs can be too busy for me, and yours is not. It has a good design that is not boring to look at yet doesn't bug your eyes out. Well done.
