davewyo
Did anybody watch today? There were a lot of people in the chat room, but I didn't recognize any names. It was a spectacular performance by Marc. He must be completely wiped out; and Nicole...what can I say?I had it streaming all day and only got to check in every now and then, and I enjoyed each snippet of the presentation. Not only was it a tour de force of woodworking content and perhaps a first of its kind, it was also an amazingly charitable and kind thing for Marc and Nicole to do. I have to say right here and now that I can't, for the life of me, remember the name of the guy who helped Marc throughout the project. But I couldn't write this without giving him his well-deserved credit, even though I'm a horse's ass and I can't remember his name...I bet it would be good to say right now that you can still contribute if you missed out...
Tom Cancelleri
You mean Scott? I had it on while building a vanity, and breaking down plywood. 8 hours of woodworking is tough to pull off. Espcieally when you hate ply like I do. shaneymack
I had it on for a while. Wife was gone so I was alone with the four kids. So not sure I really "watched" any of it with the crying, diapers changes (2 in diapers) bottle feeding, puking and all the other aweome parts of being a dad, but it was on. Southwood
I watched off and on. Caught some during lunch at work and the end when I got home. Hats off to all involved.

Brendon_t
I had it streaming all day on my ipad. I had to actually do that stupid work thing but think it was an awesome feat. Great job to Marc on the build and Nicole for hanging in there.

Popular Post thewoodwhisperer
Hey thanks guys. Glad some of you could make it. For me, an 8.5 hr shop day is pretty typical and sometimes it's on the short side. But 8.5 hrs of building, talking, teaching, and promoting the charity event did indeed WIPE me out! And guess what I did after that? I took my son to the ER for 5 hours and got home just in time to shower and pass out. But seriously, I really appreciate the support. This was a pretty crazy idea and I can't believe it actually worked.Oh and Scott is Scott Seganti. Good dude and good woodworker!

Popular Post thewoodwhisperer
Thanks for the kinds words and concern guys. After another few hours in yet another ER, turns out he has an infection. Should resolve with a simple antibiotic treatment.
wtnhighlander
Glad little M is going to be OK! I guess one of the quirks of being an internet celebrity such as yourself, is so many strangers knowing your business. I hope you know that as awkward as all this seems, we really do wish the best for you and your family.

We know there are real people behind the avatars and the sincerity behind the well-wishes is never lost on us. prov163
Marc and Nicole, glad Mateo is gonna be okay. Nothing worse than a sick child. The live build was awesome. I watched it from work and really enjoyed it. The breaks where you answered questions was extra beneficial. Thanks to both of you, and Scott!
