Popular Post wdwerker
Finally found a new space for my shop ! Yea ! Now I have about 45 days to clean out 25 years of scraps and crap then move what's critical.Going to get pictures and measurements next week after I finish the Curio cabinet and a couple of little side jobs. Long hours and backaches in my future !

Trip
Exciting -- and a lot of work... Just remember, it could be worse --- moving 25 years of stuff in mid-August in HotLanta would be no fun at all... Good luck..
Eric.
A lot of work...but also an opportunity. I've seen your shop...it could use some orgo...maybe get Kev to fly down for the week to help. Seriously, it's a clean slate. You've been at this so long and you must know your work flow so well...now you can set everything up perfectly for efficiency right from the get-go.But yeah...a lot of work. Better you than me. Entire space painted white to help w lighting.Kev is quite welcome any time, plus he has relatives around here or somewhere nearby.

Coop
I'll make the drive and give you a hand if I can bring a trailer and be your dumpster?
wdwerker
Plenty of scraps that's for sure ! Maybe we can set something up. I've got a stack of solid walnut paneling that some decorator painted white on one side. It's going bye bye one way or another.

Brendon_t
Yup, that is going to be a lot of work, and proabably not much fun but I'm sure it'll be great once it's done.

Brendon_t
You could totally beat them up with a chain and sell it as distressed.

davestanton
This is a golden opportunity to get it so you want to be there all the time. Hard work, as others have said but wow, so much fun! Make sure you don't do good enough, make it enviable!
wdwerker
I have been filling the dumpster every week to reduce the stuff I have to move. Cleared out one rack that was full of plywood scraps.
Gary Gilbert
how many lost items have you found so far..
wdwerker
Moving my big outfeed/assembly table has been a concern. The top is 54 X 145 X 1 1/8 thick particleboard. It has been used hard for close to 30 years and needs replacing plus it would reduce the weight for the move.Pulled all the screws that had heads. I knew that several the heads had broken off when I built it. Couldn't remember if I used glue or not. Had to work my way around the table prying and wedging but I got it loose ! Big dumpster coming Monday morning so I can cut it up and toss it.
Gary Gilbert
almost would have been fast to use a saw to get it done.. I'm sure the dumpster people love ya
wdwerker
I am going to reuse the base so the top needed to be removed carefully . It weighs around 250 lbs.
