tcarswell
I'm gearing up for the sculpted rocker build and I have most everything . However I don't want to buy a foredom (is that what its called ?)if I don't have to. Anyone have a favorite make and size grinder ? Perhaps also wheel type to make the rocker ? I liked the feel of the bosch at home depot. I'm so excited to join in on the fun !
Brendon_t
I've had a dewalt 4" grinder for years and beat the snot out of it, left it in the rain, dropped it and it still does work. It's heavy but I like it because it won't jump on me.
..Kev
I used a Dewalt corded and it worked great on the project. I also tried the cordless version that Marc used and was pleasantly surprised. I also used the same wheels as Marc and they worked great! wtnhighlander
I have had a Makita 4" for years, but last year I needed a 4 1/2" to drive a Kutzall wheel. Picked up one of the "paddle swich" designs from Harbor Freight for $25, and have been very impressed with it. Whatever brand you choose, I recommend the paddle-type switch. And the Kutzall disks are easy to use.
Beechwood Chip
I asked this same question a few weeks ago. I ended up getting the Harbor Freight grinder.
