Popular Post jmako095
Made from Walnut, purple heart and maple. Finish is 2 part poly with 1 part mineral spirits. Coffee table shelf is held in place with through sliding dovetails and purple heart or maple plugs. Tops are held on with buttons in a mortise. Aprons are mortise and tenon, shelves are double tenons. Fun project, especially experimenting with different types of mortise / tenon and the sliding dovetail idea.
Chet
Nicely done "J". Is the Purple Heart and Maple an inlay?

jmako095
Not an inlay, it is part of the panel, they are one inch wide on the tops and 1 1/2 on the shelf.
