Janello
This video really makes you appreciate how talented he is. Also how talented the members of this forum and guild are for how they were able to replicate such an amazing mans work.

Brendon_t
I love that video. I've seen it a few times and it doesn't get old. What always hits me is how humble he was even after working for a president, being exhibited in the smithsonian, he was so humble and loved what he did every day. N00b-in-training
I just made the misses watch the Reserve Channel video. She's now in love with the chair and says it needs officially added to the list of projects. After my workbench, a desk, dinning room table, kitchen table, two morris chairs for the office, and odds and ends she randomly adds to my list. Figure I'll get to it in 5 years. Denette
I want a framed picture of Sam Maloof in my shop, along with ones of Norm Abram, Marc Spagnuolo, and my dad. :)
Coop
Have you noticed, no dust collection/masks shown throughout the process? If he was that old, probably omitted for the videos?

Janello
I just found out my cousin on the other coast lives 30 minutes from the Sam Maloof Foundation. I may have to schedule a visit out there next year. Edited December 1, 2015 by Janello

Maybe the dust really doesn't cause harm. I tend to lean towards the camp of it's not as bad as it's made out to be. But I'm not that old yet so we've got a while to find out. Eric.
Figure I'll get to it in 5 years. If you're lucky. A pair of Maloof lowbacks have been on my "short list" for nearly eight years now. Never seems to be a good time to tackle a time-intensive project like that.
Brian Noel
I have a plan to make a reproduction of the one he is signing at the end #4. I like the rocker too. Cool stuff, great guy.
