C Nelson
I'm in the market for a circular saw that has a dust collection port that will enable me to connect it to my shop vac. I would appreciate any advice on this matter. I don't want to build a box around the saw. I'd prefer a cordless if there is such a thing. Thanks
JosephThomas
Most track saws have a dust port. Don't know of any circular saws with one, though, you can use a track saw just like one, plus it has the track and usually a plunge action. Grizzly makes an affordable one, no idea about its longevity though. Makita and dewalt make good models with good reviews for around 450-500, and the festool is 650, which seems to have the best dust collection. rodger.
I believe I saw a circular saw from Porter cable that had one.
Tom King
The Porter-Cable 347 and 743 do, but they don't work very well. It helps a lot, but nothing like the track saws.
wouldwurker
I have a hard enough time keeping the cord out of the way on my jigsaw and circular saw. I couldn't imagine dealing with a hose too.
