ChrisG-Canada
Today I picked up 50 small Jatoba cutoffs approx ⅞-15/16" x 5-6" x 12" for $0.25 each. I could make some small boxes, picture frames, etc. but I'm looking for some inspiration from you - any interesting ideas? Also, any recommendations for complimentary wood species to be paired with Jatoba? BTW, sorry about the crappy colour in the picture taken with my iPad. This is definitely reddish Jatoba.
JosephThomas
Bandsaw boxes, or other little bandsaw projects? Save some for accent strips and inlays, for sure. If it finishes with that reddish tinge, I like the idea of pairing it with a dark wood, walnut or maybe wenge.

TerryMcK
Might be nice as drawer fronts on night stands chest of (multiple) drawers - thinking two or three columns of narrow drawers accent pieces resawn to make book matched veneers for doors. Denette
I've been hooked on bandsaw boxes here lately. They are a fun way to make the most of small scraps, plus they make great gifts!
Chestnut
I bought Jatoba to make bookshelf speakers from. It's a nice dense wood which is good for sound. Could use an accent wood and try and build some sort of checker board table top. Or join them together to make boards for shop jigs.

At that price I guess it is feasible but I wouldn't be building jigs from jatoba. With scraps that size, segmented turning comes to mind.
