Stanley No 12 veneer scraper plane

I have had one for years. Had to learn how to use it and sharpen long before there was so much info on the Internet . When I cleaned it up I discovered that the black handle was rosewood covered in dirt & grime.

I had a job building 9 ft tall veneered panels for a business lobby. The plane cleaned up the seams beautifully and flattened the surface. The veneer I was using was kind of rough. I had to cut the edges to seam it and the surface had knife chatter marks. It was the only bundle of sequenced veneer available in the species required.
