duckkisser
my school has a craftsman 21914 drill press that needs to be repaired the table broke off and the table is now discontinued. does anyone know if there is another table that can be mounted to the drill press? here is the manual for the machine that I have. http://www.manualslib.com/manual/376521/Craftsman-21914-12-In-Drill-Press.html#manual
weithman5
the table may be discontinued but i bet it can be replaced still. the mechanism from the drawing is similar in appearance to that on my small SKIL drill press. as long as the diameter on the post is similar. maybe even check any of the new sears models, i bet the diameter and mechanism are still the same if not, that is what the metal shop is for
duckkisser
cheaper to buy a new drill then have the metal shop make one
Chet
I went on ereplacementparts.com yesterday and they listed the part as obsolete. But then I got to wondering if you shouldn't snoop around that website some more Duck. You know your drill press better then I do and maybe you could find a table that will work for you. duckkisser
ya i was looking on the same site and could not find the part so i am just wondering if you can just mount a different table onto the column as long as its the same diameter. wdwerker
Any drill press table made to fit the same diameter column should be able to fit. Making the height adjust crank work is another thing....
