Skjohn98
New here from N W Indiana, looking to start in woodworking, no experience but willing to try. I have started to build a stand and canopy for a 220 gallon salt water tank

wdwerker
I have built several large aquarium stands. Plan on coping with water eventually getting into every nook and cranny. Marine plywood is a good choice. Any steel fasteners will rust. If it's a saltwater tank cheap stainless will rust or corrode. If a magnet sticks to stainless good chances are it will rust. Not enough nickel in it I think. Brass will tarnish but then it's good for the ages. Ventilation is important too. Welcome to the Forum !
