Jordan Gatenby
Hello, I am building the bench dog strip in my Roubo and my pattern bit was set incorrectly when routing the "head" of my bench dog, widening the template by about 1/8th of an inch. I was able to get it back into shape but if I continue, all of my bench dogs with be 1/8th inch wider at the "head" (see the attached photo where I circled the area I am referencing.) Essentially the square holes in the top of the bench will be 1 and 1/2 inches long rather then the 1 3/8 inches the plans call for. When I make my dogs am I ok to simply made dogs with bigger "heads" to accommodate the bigger hole or is there some reason that wouldn't work that I can't think of? I was planning to keep all other dimensions of the dog as indicated in the plans. Thanks, Jordan
Tom Cancelleri
I don't see a reason the dogs can't be slightly bigger
Tom King
The larger heads shouldn't make any difference at all.
Eric.
Yeah you're fine, just make sure to remember to adjust the size of your dog breeder when you build it...otherwise you'll breed a bunch of ill-fitting dogs.
