Jim Kilby
I have a stained and varnished or polyurethaned front door that catches some western sun. After 8 years, the finish and stain are gone. I recently saw a video where Marc Spagnuolo recommended a homemade oil/marine varnish blend for desert climate with yearly touch ups. I think his recommendation was primarily for the heat. I live in the San Diego area but wondered if the same idea would help with my problem. I don't have the heat but have the sun. Any suggestions? I prefer, if I can, to have a stained and finished exterior to match the interior. Thank you.
