ChrisG-Canada Posted May 14, 2016 Report Share Posted May 14, 2016 I've purchased one of the X-Carve 1000mm kits and while I'm waiting for delivery I'm designing a cabinet with top opening enclosure to help with dust/noise reduction. Any advice, ideas (pictures would be very helpful) about a cabinet/enclosure would be great. If anyone cares, I will be using a DeWalt 611 router as the spindle and plan to add led strip lighting inside the cabinet, performing mods to the X and Y axes for stiffening, etc. and slightly altering the way the eccentric nuts/wheels are attached. I've ordered the SuckIt dust boot and will use a Dust Deputy mini cyclone with the shop vac at the unit. In future I may also add a small laser engraver and a deep water aquarium air blower to help with chip/dust ejection/extraction. It's too big to fit inside my shop (I can't dedicate 4'x4') so I'll be placing the whole unit in my basement. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
