drill press dust collection

i want to biuld a table for my standing drill press, and it will include a fence and a stop. i want to add a DC port, but i am having trouble deciding where.  behind the fence seems logical, but i also see a lot of examples online of people putting the dust port under the table.

i would think that under the table would not collect a lot, as most of the dust is made before the hole is completed by the bit.

thoughts?

I have to agree, below the table would miss the majority of chips. Since a drill makes somewhat large chips, rather than dust, you sort of need a large opening to suck them through. A port behind and above the fence seems like a good compromise, unless you want to try one of those 'drillnado' things.
