A machine to make pool cues

Hello friends,

I would buy a machine capable of making pool cues .

The size of the pool cues are as follows :

length of 4.54 ft

diameter from one end 0.59in

diameter of the opposite end 1.18in

The pool cue should be done in a single piece.

Do you know a machine that it can make these pool cues.

Welcome to the forum.  I would say a lathe if you could find one that big between centers.  The other option is the muscle you have and a sharp spokeshave.  I used to have many pool cues that were 2 pieces and they all worked fine.

Not to hijack, but does anyone know a source for the threaded connector used in 2-piece cues?

Muellers has the supplies. I believe cue makers use a metal lathe. There are special cue lathes to do shaft work and linen wraps. Good luck if you take up cue making.  A good custom cue is a work of art. I use Schon & Viking cues.
