Slate Top Potting Bench

Just Bob.... Yes, I did seal the slate with a water based sealant that you flood on.

K Cooper... The frame around the slate?  That was cedar as well.

The project sits outside against the building but does get exposure to the weather. It is sitting with a patio brick under each leg to keep it out of standing water when it rains and minimize ground contact.

The hardest part of the project was cutting out the area for the tub.

Good looking gardening bench and a very nice gift.  It is amazing to us non-gardening / landscaping types how much something like this is appreciated.  My now mother-in-law has been using hers going on 15 years and still thanks me for it several times a year.

This is awesome my mom and grandma would love something like this. Though theirs would need to be about 3 times the size, way too many plants for those 2.

Dang it I'm conflicted now i really want to show this to my mom and grandma but i know the first thing they'll ask "can you make me one?"
