JosephThomas
Can anyone explain to me what I am looking at here?
Eric.
A long ass Jet(?) lathe with a Festool sticker on the motor.
RichardA
It's kinda like Shane, with a Porter Cable tattoo!

Yeah, I was guessing it was something along those lines...didn't find any evidence online of festool ever selling something bigger than a toaster oven. I'm not there in person to verify, just a CL ad.
Immortan D
Festool is not into the heavy stationary machine industry. Unless that thing is made of plastic, it couldn't possibly be from Festool.
Eric.
They do have a sister company that makes heavy machines though. I can't remember the name or any other details. But no, Festool doesn't make anything but handheld tools that I'm aware of. I have several of those stickers...homeboy just slapped it on there because why not. Has nothing to do with the lathe. JosephThomas
Gotcha. I would think by now they'd be making some other carpentry tools like portable table saws. Perhaps that market is too crowded though Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Ask him if he has pics of the things he turned with it.

JosephThomas
Interesting, had no idea about the Honeywell connection. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
wdwerker
Might not be the same Honeywell, or a different division.
JosephThomas
Logo looks the same, product types look similar... No idea though Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

davestanton
Looks awfully like the Powermatic lathe, same legs, maybe even the same 3 phase motor that that plugs into a single phase outlet with built in inverter? Jet and Powermatic are from the stable.
Janello
Does that come in a 12' systainer?
