Popular Post Ronn W
I just spent a couple of hours in the shop today. One of those session where I was using a lot of different tools for a lot of small tasks. I was feeling, well, happy, about the time in the shop. Then it occurred to me why. For so many years, there was no real shop and I had tools in the garage, the car, the linen closet, the tool bag under the stairs... you name it. I dreaded working around the house because I could never quickly lay my hands on the tools I needed. But today I knew where every tool was when I needed it and putting them away took only seconds because they each had a place and it was only a few feet away. Am am sure that there could be a lot of psycological analysis for this but I don't care. It was a good day.
gee-dub
Its a great feeling. I love being able to go from full-on working to cleaned up in minutes. Putting things back as I go along means I know where they are if I need them again as opposed to digging through a pile of stuff that has snow-drifted up on the bench. Some day, I'm going to try that, just to get that feeling of euphoria one time!

ncfowler
Better watch, having a shop can and will take all your family time away, maybe not doing any projects, but there is always something to do, like just going out and sitting and thinking about what can I make now, most nights I will spend a few hours in my shop doing something, cleaning, rearranging, or doodling on paper,
