BeautysBeast
We bought a home down in TN as a vacation/retirement home. (10 years to go) Finally got to set everything up and build my workbench. Not nearly as pretty as some of yours, but functional and VERY sturdy.
Chet
If it works that is the important part, pretty can come later. Good start to the shop.
..Kev
Yep, Chet is correct! I'll take functional over pretty every time!

davestanton
As the others have said function is main, pretty if you are obsessive. I hope the move goes well for you. As I am on the other side of the world, Where is TN?
shaneymack
Good job on the space. Which is the workbench? The one with the planer on it? Sent from my SM-N910W8 using Tapatalk

davestanton
Ok, TN stands for Tennessee. I have no idea of your initials for the different states.

I'm Trying to find it on the map. Must be a pretty neat place as several members here have chosen it as their home state. Still looking. OP, great looking shop and I think your bench is cool and functional!!!

davestanton
Looks pretty in comparison to one of my earlier shops.
BeautysBeast
Thanks everyone. The workbench is the one without the planer on it. The thing the planer is on is just a feed/catch table for the planer. Cool Dog Dave. Gotta love a good dog. And I really dig the brick floor. Richard, I will infact do that. I will need a good hardwood source down there. I just really have a hard time finding someone better than the place I go to now. There prices are outstanding, and they are really nice. Wood of every size and style. Kettle Moraine Hardwoods. Check em out. Price list is on the web.

Actually, the saw on the ground was my Dad's and he died just under 10 years ago. I gave it to one of my friends. Barry is 11 or 12 years old now.
