Popular Post Denette
Made this bandsaw box over the last couple of days from some scraps I had laying around the shop. Red oak for the body, with a cherry front and a spalted maple drawer pull. All wood, no metal! Sanded it with 80, 120, 220, 320, 400, 600, and 1500 grits before wrapping an old t-shirt around the head of my random orbital sander and using it as a polisher! I finally finished it with 2 coats of Minwax wipe-on poly and a generous amount of buffing with Minwax paste finishing wax.

wtnhighlander
Very nice. I haven't been able to master bandsaw boxes yet. Having only a 10" saw doesn't help.
Denette
Thanks guys! Yeah, I have a 14" bandsaw. The real trick (and biggest pain) is using the widest blade possible at all times for the smoothest cut possible. The ⅛" blade I do fine corners & curves with leaves an ugly surface, but my ⅝" blade doesn't corner well at all. I do a lot of blade changing on these projects.
