Bonesandstones65
Hello! I have the subject table saw and she quit on me recently, won't run. When she stopped, I thought the problem was the joemex breaker so I replaced it. The saw ran but produced a lot of "blue light" so I shut her off and now she won't run again. Is it possible I got the breaker connections backwards? I've since replaced the on/off switch but again, no joy... The motor has no reset switch that I can locate, nor a start capacitor that I can see. Perhaps one might be under the black housing on the back end of the motor? Many thanks for your kind reply, Ralph
woodbutcher74
I usually buy male tools, they are a lot less temperamental. Sorry just being a smartass. I would start with a volt meter and try and figure out where shes losing losing the voltage.

MisterDrow
Your mention of blue light made me think of this... I fixed an old drill once with this fix (though I had to replace two of the brushes in the process). Don't know if you can get away with a fix like this but I share it anyways. knotscott
Based on the existence of blue sparks, I'm assuming it's a universal motor, so I'd start with checking the condition of the brushes.
