Popular Post Eric.
Picture me on a street corner in dirty jeans, holding a Dunkin' Donuts cup half full of change (and since it's me - half empty, too, of course LOL). Anything helps, Brothers. I've been hanging out with my buddy Curt for 25 years. We egged houses together in junior high, raised hell in high school, were roommates in college, and now we live ten minutes apart and get the kids together for play dates every week while we have a few beers. He and his wife Beth are our best friends in the world. Two years ago, Beth was diagnosed with breast cancer at 34 years old. After a long and grueling series of chemo treatments and some brutal surgeries, she has been in remission for the last 18 months. Our group of friends has since been involved with a local organization - Pedal the Cause. 100% of the proceeds go to fund cancer research. 100% I'll be riding 50 miles this year (in September) to help raise funds and I'm on the hook for a predetermined commitment. Whatever I can't raise gets charged to my credit card. I don't really facebook so I'm turning to my only "social network" to ask for help. Any donation is greatly appreciated. See my friends' story below, and follow this link if you'd like to donate to a great cause. Thanks peeps for helping us fight that turd cancer. http://stlouis.pedalthecause.org/riders_profile.jsp?MemberID=79091 Meet Curt & Beth — Featured Fighters on the Road to Pedal Curt & Beth are Featured Fighters on the Road to Pedal — a bold movement that is inspiring the world to give 100% to the fight against cancer. Some people choose to give 100%. For others, giving 100% is their only choice. We all have a reason to fight for a world without cancer. There’s really only one question… can you give 100%? The best I can do is offer a prayer!

RichardA
Guy's, this thread isn't about me, this thread is about contributing to Eric's charity, get off your wallet's and donate! Though I do thank you for your concerns and prayers, but Help Eric! Eric, been trying to send you a PM, won't go through, box must be full!
Popular Post woodbutcher74
I try and help with any cancer causes that I can. My Mom died of breast cancer at the age of 58. Now both of my sisters have been fighting this horrible scourge for years. Donating cash is the easy part. You have to do the pedaling.

This thread isn't about anything but f#@*ing up some cancer. I should have added in my original post that I've also lost two aunts in three years, and my father in law just got done battling lung cancer. He's doing well at the moment. Cancer seems so prolific these days, everyone is effected. My message box was stuffed full last night...I've done some housecleaning and it should be good now. Thanks again everyone for your generous donations. Y'all have so exceeded my expectations here. What a great group of people.
Woodenskye
Eric, best of luck reaching your goal and the ride. I wish my circumstances were better to contribute more than just moral support.
Popular Post -MattK-
I just donated... ...but with the implicit guarantee that you won't post photos of yourself in spandex. I'm pretty sure that would violate the Ts&Cs of this site.

Popular Post Keggers
Eric, I'm glad to help. My wife went through the horrors of breast cancer several years ago. I've never been so scared in my entire life. I'm happy to say that she's been cancer free for over ten years. She still lives with the fear that it will some day come back. The techniques that doctors use today to battle breast cancer are far more advanced than they were when she was going through her treatment. I'm here to tell you that donations for breast cancer research have really helped advance how it is treated. You are doing a great thing by riding your bike for the cause. My prayers to your friends.
