Rex Edgar
I'm in the planning stage of a commemorative plate display. One plate in a round frame with a round piece of glass cut to fit. My question concerns the nomenclature of the bit I need to use/get. I'm thinking of two pieces for the frame with a semicircle cut out of each and then joining the halves to secure the plate. What bit do I need to channel out the two semicircles to accept the glass disc?

wdwerker
4 tooth slot cutters work better for me. Get a 1/2 shank arbor if your router will take them. I have bent 1/4" shank slot cutters and it will scare the crap out of you !
