Popular Post rodger.
I had a few minutes today, and some off cut 8/4 cherry. I made a knife insert for my kitchen, to help me protect my knives and keep organized. The entire project is made from a rough 8/4 piece of cherry, about 15" long or so, and 7" wide. I used TB3 and some 23 guage pin nails (on the hidden faces) to hold it altogether. The knife slots are simply table saw grooves about 1" deep, cut with a FTP blade. It fits like a glove in its new home, and should serve me well! Finish is 3 coats of HVLP sprayed water based poly. -Pug
