Popular Post prov163
A friend of the family asked me to build them a Rustic/Farmhouse bed. Used 2x8s for the platform and headboard frame. Center panel is pallet wood - their request. I added some old strap hinges for effect. It's pretty basic but I made enough money to pay for the first semester of Hand Tool School and buy a couple of rehabbed handsaws.

wtnhighlander
I'm missing the strap hinges, where are they, exactly?

prov163
highlander, took me a little while to figure out how to compress the picture so it would load. These were old hinges I had laying around from a barn door i ran across. Thought they'd add a little authenticity, lol. 14 hours ago, TIODS said: Not my style but, making money is making money! Nice job! Mine either. It was more of a carpentry job than woodworking, but it allowed me to accelerate my enrollment in hand tool school. Another side benefit is that I have some left over 2x8 I think I'll make a saw bench out of to use my new saws.
