MisterDrow
So I was given a (used) biscuit joiner recently and noticed almost immediately on use that the fence is bent... are there any tricks to remedy this or should I just toss the thing and save up for a nicer one? MisterDrow
Nothing fancy... but it's from HF so that's mainly why I'm asking if it's worth even messing with. It looked practically brand new when it was given to me. I'll post some pictures when I get home tonight.
Just Bob
Meridian is 560 miles from my place, pay shipping and I will send you my Dewalt. Haven't used it in years, so it is just taking up space in my shop. That way you won't have to mess with the HF. PM me if you are interested. I will even clean off the dust!

Not really, it is kind of your fault, Kev. Just trying to clean and organize the shop. Anybody want a slightly used Porter Cable profile sander? Another Norm special, same deal.

Isaac
One alternative way to use the Joiner that I've seen in the past, is if your board is truly flat, and your surface is flat as well, then you can reference off the smooth bottom of the Joiner and forget the fence system. I've had mixed results with that method, but heard others that sweat by it. Though of course, the pros have all moved onto the domino.
