Popular Post Gixxerjoe04
Finally got done making the baby crib and put it in his room last night, with only 3 weeks or less time to spare. Made from cherry and maple/curly maple, all domino joinery and I used half inch aluminum rod stock in the long rails through the tenons to hold it together, so it can be taken apart down the road. Here's the journal of making the crib

Gixxerjoe04
Thanks everyone, not 100% perfect but for being my biggest project and not having step by step plans to follow, think it turned out really good. Glad the wife is happy, now just gotta get the changing table done then she won't be nagging me anymore haha.

Justin
That's very nice, definitely hold up better than any store bought. When my youngest was born my wife's aunt bought us a nice 4 in 1 it was probably a 350-400 dollar crib and 3 years later already falling apart. At the time I didn't really have a shop since I just started a couple years ago, but if we (unplanned) have another one I would probably do the same thing. Yours will probably last for generations. Chestnut
Awesome job Joe. I've been excited to see this one in place for a while now. I really like how the pins turned out i think the steel? is a nicer touch then the brass would have been. How's the changing table going? They're aluminum, started working on the changing table yesterday. Shouldn't be as hard except for making a dang mitered box that's 17x40 and getting the miters perfect. Which I did not in yesterday's attempt haha, will probably just "fix" it as best I can and roll on, got other stuff I need to be working on, plus she could calf about any day now haha.
