Popular Post Chet Posted September 11, 2016 Popular Post Report Share Posted September 11, 2016 I didn't take any before pictures so you are just going to have to take my word that this is a much better set up in my shop then it was in the beginning of July. The things that have changed - Added a proper miter station. The bandsaw was next to the router table but I turned it 180 degrees and moved it to the end on the miter station, lots more room now, before it was kind of a squeeze between it and the miter station. Clamps moved to their present location which is right behind me now when I am at my assembly outfeed table, they were on the opposite wall. Built a permanent stand for the drum sander which raised it up so it above the miter station for better out feed, before it was below so I had to move the sander every time I used it. It would have been nice to have it the same hight as the miter station but my garage floor has a weird slope around the parameter which makes getting things lined up a challenge. I moved some of the cabinets that were above the miter station to the wall were the clamps were. Add a small box of drawers under the end of the saw to hold all saw accessories, dado stacks and the like. This was under my assembly table where all assembly supplies are located. Moved the Nicholson bench from the center of the floor to up against the assembly table and saw. I suppose It would be nice to have access all the way around but this way offers more room to work. When you start setting up a shop, you sometimes don't think as you add tools, you just keep popping them in where you see space. Where is your dc system located? Coop, in the second photo its a red machine, you can sort of make it out between the red Sears compressor and the red tool box, it has a canister filter on top.
