MisterDrow
Picked some of this blued pine up from a friends mill who makes large timber beams and slabs and all kinds of cool stuff to build with. Some of this will go into a gaming coffee table that I am making. As for the rest, I couldn't pass up the way some of these boards looked so I will find a use for them somewhere. MisterDrow
The same place has some 2"-thick 14"x48" walnut live edge slabs for $45... I may start buying lumber from them more often!
Chestnut
I think it's funny i see 1 by material at my box store selling for bottom dollar because it's blue. Then on etsy some person is trying to sell 4 foot lengths for like $10 a BF. I don't know if they are selling any but dang if i had the time that's a good idea.
MisterDrow
These were $3 @ for 8' 1x4s and $5@ for 8' 1x8s. All were milled earlier this year and have been dried in a solar kiln. I was very surprised at how straight they were! Only had to pick through the pile a little bit to avoid some boards with some bad checking. They've got lots of blued pine slabs for $30 as well... I'll be looking at those sometime soon to make something out of as well. Personally, I really like the look of blue pine. It is one of those things that actually adds some character to a normally bland wood.
