JAchter
Hello all, This is my first real project. It is a buchers block made out of hard maple and Jatoba, and finished with Butchers block oil. The stand was made by a friend. Let me know what you think.

JosephThomas
Nice job. Are you going to use the surface as an actual cutting board, or just as counter space? Welcome to the forum.
wtnhighlander
Yep, looks good to me! An edge-grain slab like that is useful for many things. You did a good job with the glue-up and finish, and the pipe legs give it an industrial feel. I have a project or two that could make use of this concept. I may go with a slightly larger diameter pipe, to further enhance that "sturdy, industrial" look. Oh, and welcome to the party!

JAchter
Thanks everyone! It was a nice little weekend project. That was made for a friend that is going to use at as mostly counter space but maybe some occasional cutting.
