Popular Post Ronn W
It's humble pie time. On one branch of my DC system I have my 735 Planar and my band saw. The band saw is at the end of the run and the 735 is between the band saw and the dust collector. I was planing mulitple passes on several 4 ft boards when I noticed more than the usual amount of ships and sawdust on the outfeed table. I turn the planar off and noticed that the blast gate at the DC was closed. I also noticed that the blast gate for the band saw was open. Then I turned around and saw the bandsaw. Its table, base and the floor around it were covered with chips and sawdust. The internal exhaust fan in the 735 had blown everything to the main and since it could not go to the DC it reversed course and came out at the band saw. I am not feeling too bright right now.
Popular Post gee-dub
It's things like this that keep me humble, fuel my library of funny stories, and hopefully make me a better woodworker in the long run :-) Thanks for sharing that event. I thought it was only me that did that sort of thing :-)
krtwood
It was probably time to clean around the band saw anyway. It's always time to clean around the band saw.

Popular Post Cochese
Well, it could be worse. You could have spent the next hour searching for your dentures.
