Popular Post gee-dub
Dad always wanted certain bits close at hand. I came up with this for him. Pretty simple and made out of some pegboard, plywood and some scraps along with some purchased drill indexes. The "trays" swing out on bolts as axles and have the right rear corner rounded to clear the back. It mounts via a french cleat. And here it is on the wall at Dad's. You can see I made him a few spare wooden blocks that he can customize for his needs. They screw on from underneath so they can be moved around till he's happy. Those of you with open framed walls could even skip the box and just make the swing-out parts come right out from between the studs.
Dknapp34
For a second I thought you were going to make it out of that birdseye maple in the first picture. That would be one fancy drill bit holder! The finished product looks great. The swinging part is a nice touch. I need to something like this. I'm constantly misplacing drill bits.
