lewisc
I finished a hall table a few weeks ago and since that time, learnt about grain filling. The timber I've used is open grained and the feel of it is not quite as nice as I thought it would be. I've used Mr Maloof's formula to finish it but I want to strip the top, fill the grain and refinish. Would a card scraper be the most effective way to avoid clogging up paper? wdwerker
Yes, but be sure the wax is gone or the pore filler might not stick. You could wipe it down with a solvent just to make sure.
