Popular Post Gixxerjoe04
Had some friends who wanted some gifts to give for Christmas, so I made some segmented vases/bowls for them. One is maple/walnut, curly maple/walnut, and the last brazilian cherry and curly maple. Still need to learn more about doing feature rings, didn't have time to give that a shot. Also turned my first bowl from cherry using some traditional tools I bought since I've been using carbide tools since I started turning, definitely get a better and quicker result using them over carbide. Also took an old small bowl and a carving chisel, messing around with texturing the outside. Decided to try and take better pics of the last two bowls but the display stand wasn't having it.
wtnhighlander
Nice work, Joe! Getting the little one off to a good start with the flannel shirt. Do you play New Yankee Workshop reruns to help him sleep at naptime?

Nah, I just start my chainsaw and let it idle by his crib, then he's out like a log
