Cfrenchfci
I've just decided to get into woodworking. I have my granddads really old craftsman tablesaw but it doesn't have a fence. Where can I find a fence that fits it? Am I totally out of luck?
Chet
One place you can try is ereplacementparts.com Also check vintagemachinery.org
gee-dub
Another suggestion from an old Craftsman saw owner; the original fence probably wasn't any too good even new. I have grandad's Craftsman with the original fence and miter gauge. Neither is really very usable. I would look at an inexpensive after-market. You don't want to throw a $300 fence at a $100 saw unless you are sure the fence will follow along as you upgrade. Even an inexpensive fence ($100 or so) is a certain level of commitment but, grandad's saw and a starter-fence could give you several years of service and possibly more.
Cfrenchfci
Thanks for the replies. Will any fence generally fit any table saw?
mat60
I think many will as long as you have the new rails to go with the fence but you may need to drill some new holes to install.
Brendon_t
I think craftsman uses 16.5" on center holes for fence mounting. Check yours with a tape. The easiest bolt on system will have the same placement of holes. Vega fences are direct bolt on system to most craftsman saws
knotscott
It'd be good to know your exact model. Pics would even be better.
PeteB
Try sears part direct. I bought a bunch of parts from them, including Delta planer parts. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk

I'll try to take some pics this weekend. It's at my shop across town. I plan on moving it to my garage once we finish our remodel and are back in our house.
chashint
I had an old Craftsman table saw and I never was able to get the blade acceptably close to being parallel to the miter slots. i would check and adjust the blade as necessary before buying a new fence. if the blade is in adjustment or there is enough slop in the trunion holes to adjust it then the Delta T2 fence or the Shopfox aftermarket fence are probably good candidates.
