Fred
Help! I am making a blanket chest off of pictures and a few dimensions only (no plans). It is going well except that I have questions about hinges. The photo I am following shows an overhang of the lid on all four sides. I cannot come up with a good hinge solution since they seem to be designed for a lid that is flush. The overhang in the image is 2 inches! bushwacked
do you have a picture of your chest right now and marked out where the hinges should probably go?

I used three but 2 would have sufficed.

They work great. I replaced the hinges with those on a piano bench with storage for a friend. So far they are holding fine, at least she hasn't complained. Two was just enough. 6 hours ago, Immortan D said:
Fred
Thanks, All. I think the torsion hinges from Rockler will work.
