rmac
This is a jig for cutting through dovetails on the bandsaw. It uses a sliding fence arrangement instead of the spacers used with similar jigs that have been described by Lonnie Bird, David Marks, and others. Check my blog for more information and detailed drawings for building you own. -- Russ

Jfitz
Resurrecting an older thread. I finally got around to making a DT jig for my bandsaw, based on Russ' post. Instead of using individual 'feet' for the base, I used long wedges which I cut on my TS using the taper jig part of this set. This way the angles matched perfectly. It took me a few tries to get to the sample joint shown in the picture - when someone says 'cut to the waste side of the line', it *really* means leave the line alone. My first two were very loose because I took away a little bit of the line. FWIW that's the same issue I have with cutting by hand. I have some ideas on how to make the jig adjustable in order to fine tune the cut, because bumping the fence small amounts is tedious.
