Dave H
i have a delta 6" jointer other than the initial set up i've never done anything to it for 6-7 yrs and it's been a dream. today i was flatening the face of some construction lumber thought i'd taken out all the staples in the ends of the boards but no! now have a nick in the middle of two knives. my question is where do you send knives out to get sharpened or do you do it yourselves i'm pretty ignorent on how to proceed. i ran a small stone across each knife and the nicks are a little deep and i'm afraid to go any farther for fear of changing shape of knives any input wood be welcome thanks. dave
jimmykx250
It's a no brainer for a local machine shop if you know any people in the business otherwise I would ask around for references to a local guy.
