terryaucoin Posted March 2, 2012 Report Share Posted March 2, 2012 I wanna re-saw some of the 24 x 2.5 x 3/4 inches (L x H x W) popular boards you get from Lowes in the hobby section into 1/8 or close to that for instrument building practice. Is there a jig for this to make it safer then guiding it by hand? I thought of gluing a few of the boards together for more distance from the fence and re-saw/veneer blade. I was using a table saw because I didn't have a band saw, but I imagine the same setup would work. If you skip to the end of the thread I have pictures of my setup and a description of what worked. BTW, the "push stick" was a length of 2x4 that I trimmed to be smooth and straight. I just screwed on a piece of scrap to make the "handle".
