CLR (Calcium Lime Rust) product you see on tv. Click here if you don't know what I am talking about.
My question, would this be a good product to use on your cast iron tops to remove rust?

I haven't used that, but have recently used Evaporust and it works really well. The only place I was able to find it locally was at Harbor Freight.

See, I told ya , Vic!
If you are on twitter you can also get a 20% off coupon by tweeting them @harborfreight .
I have tried CLR but it seems slower to me... Like you have let it sit longer. Evaporust is also good since it won't harm paint or wood.. Handy if you are restoring something and you need to remove the rust before disassembly, and I understand it can be reused several times...

Haven't used that, but at a yard sale, I bought 4 gallons of "Rust Aid" for $2! I bought it for iron well water stains.
I just tried it on a 1950's CM table saw top, and it worked like magic!
