Good Afternoon all,

We Welcome any and all participants of any skill level.

A bunch of the guys in the chat room are turners, and have decided to have a Turning Challenge and Trade. The concept is really pretty simple. We will select a topic, ie: bowls or platters or something and if you sign up to participate will be given parameters to stay within such as size, etc. By a given date, you need to have your project complete, and pictures sent to one of the organizers. On the completion date, a list will be published along with the pictures of who you are supposed to send your piece to. We will do the trading as a Round Robin type of thing. Joe would send to Bob, Bob would send to Chuck, Chuck would send to George.

We will not be choosing really technical items to turn, as this is meant as more of a skill builder than anything and help you advance your turning abilities.

What we would like is to have you vote on the poll, for the item you would most like to turn. At the end of the day on Sunday, September 9, the project with the most votes will become the Challenge. You will be given until Sunday night October 7 to complete your project and supply pictures.

This should give everyone enough time in case you should have trouble with your project.

I hope we can get a few new faces, and even some old faces to participate. This is a lot of fun!

Roger
