Chris Adkins
My wife has wanted me to build a table to hold our daughters doll house on so I decided this past weekend to see what I could come up with. I had an extra top from a writing desk I built a few years ago and managed to find enough Oak to build the base. After I started construction I realized that this was going to be more than what she needed for a doll house so I sized it so that she could use it later similar to a mudroom bench for storing shoes and a changing bench. The rails are mortised into the legs and the panels are 1/2" Oak plywood dadoed into the rails and legs. It is 41" long x 18" wide x 16" tall. The biggest obstacle that I have now is deciding what finish to put on it now. I made her a loft bed a few years ago that is painted white. I am not sure that I want to paint this one but I still want it to blend in.....decisions decisions.
