    Grooming box.

I have finished my first experience with horse people, the client was very happy with the finished product. And I have decided I prefer hard woods.
  2. I was recently in a similar bind, and decided on a 13" planer. I chose the planer because out of all the other choices that you have mentioned. My reasoning was the planer is the one that opened up more possibilities (milling my own stock out of rough cut at cheaper prices.) and was the hardest to accomplish the same results with another tool. Of course my decision was made easier when my wife had to leave town on business and Home Depot had a sale on the planer I bought for $120.00. So for me it was fate, Hope this helps, Chris.
  3. Hi from Canada, I am a part time amateur wood worker.I am in the military means that I lack the ability to dedicate as much time as I would like. My back ground in wood working stems from construction, and getting mad at my WalMart coffee table. Currently my shop consists of portables that I set up in the front yard, dust control lacks, but you can't beat the ventilation system! Cheers!

    Completed Projects

I post everything that I have started but, I'll be honest it would be a mess, so I'll do whats easier, here are then projects that HAVE been finished.
  5. much nicer then my first attempt at furniture, awesome job!
  6. I realize that this is rather late, and I'm sure you have finished your fix now. Yet it occur's to me that the easiest way I know of to attach a table top is use under-mount block tenons that could secure to a slot mortises in the apron of the table, then allow for movement/ expansion in the joint. Maybe for future Reference.
